Top 10 Rankings: Week 3
Georgia, 2-0
The Bulldogs won a 48-3 snoozer over Tennessee Tech in a tuneup game before SEC play. They come in at my top spot for now.

Texas, 2-0
Our Longhorns put together the most impressive win of the college football season to this point, toppling Michigan 31-12 in Ann Arbor. We welcome a couple of non-conference opponents to DKR next for what are sure to be cake walks. Closing in fast for the #1 spot here.
Next: vs. UTSA
Ohio State, 2-0
The Buckeyes had their second of three straight G5 opponents at home to start the season, beating Western Michigan 56-0. Their first test likely comes in week 6 in Eugene.
Next: vs. Marshall
Ole Miss, 2-0
This is a very talented team that could surprise some people this season - plenty of offensive firepower as the Rebels handled Middle Tennessee, 52-3. I’m high on Lane Kiffin’s squad this year. Their schedule picks up in the back half.
Next: @ Wake Forest
Tennessee, 2-0
The Vols put together easily the 2nd most impressive win of week 2 (NIU notwithstanding) in dominating fashion over then-ranked NC State, 51-10.
Next: vs. Kent State
Missouri, 2-0
The Tigers look like a legitimate contender this season under head coach Eli Drinkwitz (love the name). Coming off back-back shutouts to start this season, most recently in a 38-0 contest over buffalo, Missouri will face its first test against upstart Boston College.
Next: vs. Boston College
Alabama, 2-0
The Tide are further down on my list due to struggling against USF for a second consecutive year. Don’t let the 42-16 final scoreline fool you - this was a 1-point game in the 4th quarter. Wisconsin presents a very interesting challenge in new head coach Kalen DeBoer’s first year.
Next: @ Wisconsin
Miami, 2-0
Consider me a believer in the Hurricanes, at least in the ACC, after a 56-9 drubbing of Florida A&M this week. It’s what they did the week prior to Florida in the Swamp that got people’s attention. A light schedule remains as only Louisville presents as a ranked opponent the rest of the way.
Next: vs. Ball State
USC, 2-0
Does Lincoln Riley finally have a defense? The question will be answered as we go along, but a 48-0 win over Utah State posits improvement over last year’s group.

Utah, 2-0
Utah is a few spots higher on this list with a fully healthy Cam Rising. I for one hope there is nothing serious, but he did not play the second half of the Utes’ 23-12 victory over Baylor. Stay healthy, Cam.
Next: @ Utah State
Penn State, 2-0
I like to include the first team left out in these “top 10” rankings. Right now it’s Penn State, who has more questions than answers after skating by Bowling Green 34-27 following their impressive week 1 showing in Morgantown. Consistency will be key for James Franklin’s squad to prove they can break through the ranks of the elite in college football, and right now we’re not seeing that.
