Heisman Race: Week 9
Michael Penix, Jr., QB, Washington
He had an up and down game but ultimately finished with 369 passing yards and 4 TDs, leading the Huskies to a win. Winning, and staying undefeated, with the numbers Penix has accumulated should keep him at the top here.
Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
It was an off week for Daniels in preparation of the date with Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Can he have his Heisman moment?
Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
Nix had another ultra lethal game for the Ducks, finishing with 248 passing and 2 TDs with no INTs. Leading Oregon to a PAC-12 title and a CFP berth could give him a great shot at this award.
Marvin Harrison, Jr., WR, Ohio State
Impossible to ignore the “MVP” type of player Harrison is, and that alone warrants his placement in this list for the nation’s #1 team according to the Playoff Committee. 4 straight games with at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.
J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
The elephant in the room is that the sign stealing allegations are going to keep McCarthy from winning this award, plain and simple. Michigan had the week “off,” technically. Resumes play with what should be another stat-padder against Purdue.
