Postgame Scenes and Reactions: Baylor

Quinn and the Longhorns put many fans’ worries to bed with a dominant performance on 2 sides of the ball in what was an incredibly hostile environment for maybe 5 minutes of gameplay. Baylor only managed 6 points in a game where Texas gifted them 2 visits to the red zone.

We continue to win convincingly against teams whose season-long wishlist is a list of 1: beat Texas. And yet we find plenty of opportunities to improve. If special teams cleaned up their performance, we might be looking at a near shutout and a Longhorns score in the 40s or 50s, almost tripling the point spread at kickoff.

It was just what the doctor ordered for the Horns, and a great way to kick off the final year of Big 12 play. Now on to Kansas! And no looking ahead to the game in Dallas the first week of October.
